Grace… It’s Not Passive

Grace... It's Not Passive

When the grace of God touches you, it changes your story! The early disciples, when writing the Bible, did not have Christian words or terminologies they could draw from. Most of their wording was taken from secular and pagan sources. The word GRACE was translated into the Greek word, CHARIS, which was a pagan word. This word CHARIS (grace) was used by the pagans to describe, what they believed was the touch of their gods upon them … an infusion of power to do, what they couldn’t do before. It was even thought to be “magical”. The early translators used this word CHARIS to convey the same meaning, the same understanding … GRACE IS GOD’S ABILITY IN US TO DO WHAT WE COULD NOT HAVE DONE IN OUR OWN STRENGTH, in our own ability. Our salvation was the result of the mighty work of God’s grace upon us; delivering us from the Kingdom of Darkness into the Kingdom of God; God’s grace was delivered unto men through the Gifts of the Spirit to build the Church and His grace continues to empower us to live far above the challenges of this world system, producing fruit for the kingdom and living our lives, reigning with Him. GRACE … it is not passive!
