giving

As Christians, we believe it is our privilege to be financial partners in the work of promoting the name of Jesus, and caring for the poor. In the act of being generous we seek first His kingdom and acknowledge with confidence that He will take care of our needs.

Please prayerfully consider how much you feel led to give, keeping in mind your offerings are between you and the Lord.

In our current world circumstances, where gathering is not possible, you may give electronically at any time as a ‘once off’ contribution, or by setting up an automated payment from your bank account on a scheduled periodic payment. Every contribution is received with the greatest of joy and appreciation.

offerings

new beginnings

We encourage regular giving by members of NBCC to cover operating costs of church services and programs. We also donate a portion of our regular giving to our missions.

Many members choose to give according to the scriptures and some also give over and above this to our Missions.

missions

If you wish to support our missions in Africa, we would be thrilled to welcome your donations.  All donations are wholly used for establishing and maintaining Schools of Ministry by purchasing equipment such as TVs, USBs, power sources, textbooks, etc. To the same end we also gratefully accept laptops that you may no longer use but still are in good working order.

Whether your support is financial, material or by prayer – thank you!

Cost for one school with TV, books etc is $500 (or $800 with solar panel) but every cent counts!

your time and skills

Being involved in activities builds community, forms friendships and can give purpose to day to day life. NBCC encourages all members to be involved in the life of our church in some way that fits with each person’s individual gifts and lifestyle.

Sunday service activities, such as greeting members and guests as they arrive, worship leading, handing out communion elements, leading communion, children’s activities, morning tea are all rostered and shared around to avoid these roles becoming burdensome.

Other small practical, but not insignificant ways of helping include assisting with technical tasks such operating the overhead slides, camera/video recording, hosting a home group, organising functions or cooking a meal for someone in need.

If you would like more information on how you can be involved, please contact us.
