How Many Sins does it take to be a Sinner ! The answer is “none”! Realising we are not a sinner by what we do, but that we were born into sin is the first step toward our understanding the freedom from sin, that we have in Christ Jesus. In Adam: Dead to God, and Alive to Sin. In Christ: Dead to Sin and Alive to God. Roms 5:19 “by one man’s disobedience, the many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one, shall many be made righteous”. It is impossible for a Christian to have 2 natures … a sinful nature and a righteous nature. There can not be 2 systems running at once! Similarly, how many “good acts” does it take to become righteous. And the answer again, is “none”. Our righteousness is received by grace through faith, at the point of salvation. This message is the Good News of the total deliverance from sin within the the heart of a believer and the powerful truth that resounds through the New Covenant, “for the one who has died has been set free from sin” Romans 6:1-7
